Social Commitment
We do not see ourselves solely as a responsible employer but also as a partner for the region and society. myonic is continuously committed to educational partnerships with schools and kindergartens and supports various projects.
Internally, we have created a vibrant program for our employees’ children with the “myonic Kids” initiative.
We actively take on responsibility in society and give back a portion of our success!
TECHNOlino with Johannes Kindergarten
What began as a short-term initiative in 2009 under the name “TECHNOlino” has evolved into a long-term partnership. Then, as now, the primary goal was to introduce children to science and technology in order to address the shortage of skilled workers, technicians, and engineers.
In concrete terms, this means integrating science and technology into the kindergarten curriculum in a child-friendly way and encouraging playful discovery. The initiative was particularly driven by former myonic trainer Franz Bauhofer and the kindergarten director, Elke Rehwald.
Since then, much has happened. What started as a small project is now carried on by training manager Bernd Koslowski and his team and has become indispensable for both sides. myonic regularly supports the kindergarten with small and larger donations and continues to promote the idea of inspiring children to explore technology.
In return, the kindergarten has often assisted with past events, helping with childcare or wherever pedagogical or creative expertise was needed.
Additionally, twice a year, myonic opens its doors to the little explorers for tours with workstations, where a variety of creative workpieces have already been produced.
myonic Girls Day
The “myonic Girls’ Day” is an initiative by the company myonic aimed at inspiring girls to pursue careers in technical and scientific fields. Girls’ Day, also known as the “Girls’ Future Day,” is a nationwide action day in Germany during which companies, universities, and research institutions invite girls from the 5th grade onwards to give them insights into technical and scientific professions, which have traditionally been male-dominated.
Family Alliance
The initiative “Local Alliances for Families” was launched in early 2004 by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth. A Local Alliance for Families is a collaboration of various societal groups, as well as actors from the business sector, politics, and civil society. Among these actors are representatives from municipalities, businesses, chambers of commerce, unions, employment agencies, associations, foundations, schools, religious communities, and providers of independent youth services.
The partners contribute according to their own capacities and bring their specific expertise to the table. This collaborative approach is the hallmark of the Local Alliances and is key to their success.
The core themes of the Local Alliances for Families include balancing family and work, reliable childcare, and supporting a family-friendly infrastructure. Increasingly, they also focus on balancing employment and caregiving responsibilities.
Through demand-driven projects, the goal is to sustainably improve the living and working conditions for families.
There are now Local Alliances for Families at approximately 670 locations across Germany.
Formel1 in Schools
F1 in Schools is a multidisciplinary, international technology competition where students aged 11 to 19 design, manufacture, and race a miniature Formula 1 car using computer-aided design (CAD).
The aim is to harness the excitement and global presence of the “big” Formula 1 to create an engaging and thrilling learning experience for young people, enhancing their understanding of product development, technology, and science while showcasing career paths in engineering.
In regional and state championships, the gas cartridge-powered cars race against each other on a 20-meter track. The winning teams represent their state at the German National Championship. Key factors for success include team performance in design, manufacturing, reaction time, car speed, business plan, and presentation.
myonic regularly sponsors various teams with ball bearings.

Holiday Care
The summer holidays pose a particular challenge for employees with school-aged children. During the holidays, it is essential to ensure reliable childcare while simultaneously finding the best solution in coordination with partners, helpful family members, or friends and colleagues.
The myonic holiday care is an offer for employees’ children aged 6 to 13 and usually includes a variety of activities and a colorful program.
Gift for the Children’s Festival
For nearly 30 years, myonic employees’ children aged 3-13 have received a small gift each year to celebrate the Leutkirch Children’s Festival.
The range of gifts in recent years has been diverse, from T-shirts, mugs, backpacks, towels, and game collections to cooler bags.
This year, each child received two neon-yellow LED magnetic clips with blinking modes.
Whether at dawn or dusk, the clip is versatile and can be used on clothing, backpacks, or during various outdoor sports.
myonic Kids Day
The myonic Kids Day usually takes place once a year and offers employees’ children aged 4 to 13 the opportunity to get a glimpse into their parents’ working world and participate in various activities focused on movement, creativity, and hands-on crafting.
Since 2017, this well-established concept has been a great success and is always very well received.
Christmas Card Drawing Contest
As per tradition, myonic employees’ children are given a set period of time to create winter and Christmas-themed artwork, giving them the chance to have their designs featured on the Christmas card sent to all our customers and partners around the world.
The top three winners receive a small gift as a reward for their creativity, but no child goes home empty-handed, as all participants receive a consolation prize.
