myonic develops and manufactures super-precision bearings for the reaction wheels. Reaction wheels are used for controlling the attitude of satellites and spacecraft. There are minimum 3 reaction wheels per satellite controlling its attitude on the X, Y and Z axis.

If only one flywheel fails, the satellite would no longer be able to completely control its attitude and – in the worst case- compromise the mission. For this reason, the reaction wheels and thus the bearings units must correspond to the highest requirements of reliability and precision.
