15th Anniversary of the TECHNOlino Partnership

This year, myonic and St. John’s Kindergarten in Leutkirch, under the leadership of the Diakonie (OAB), are celebrating the 15th anniversary of a remarkable partnership.

What began as a short-term initiative in 2009, under the name “TECHNOlino,” has grown into a long-term cooperation. Then and now, the primary goal was to introduce children to science and technology to help prevent a shortage of skilled workers, technicians, and engineers.

This specifically means integrating science and technology into the kindergarten curriculum in an age-appropriate way and allowing children to explore these topics through play. Former myonic trainer Franz Bauhofer and kindergarten director Elke Rehwald were particularly committed to this project.

Since then, much has happened. What started as a small project is now being carried forward by training manager Bernd Koslowski and his team and has become indispensable for both sides. myonic regularly supports the kindergarten with small and large donations and continues to promote the idea of inspiring children to develop an interest in technology.

In return, the kindergarten has often helped at past events with childcare or wherever educational or creative expertise was needed.

Additionally, twice a year, myonic opens its doors to young explorers for guided tours with workstations, where many creative projects have already been created. This was also the case on Monday, April 15, 2024 – on this day, for the first time, the children were allowed to visit the company accompanied by a parent. For the parents, it is important and interesting to see where and what their children experience and learn during their daily activities in the kindergarten.

More joint events are planned for the summer. Firstly, the preschool children will be allowed to visit the company, and secondly, a larger project will be inaugurated in connection with the kindergarten’s participation in the “German Employer Award for Education” under the theme “Tangibly Sustainable.”
