New Work Office II

Desk sharing, mobile working, New Work 4.0 – these terms have long become an integral part of our daily office life. Mobile working has become firmly established for employees in our administrative departments, is governed by a company agreement, and is now an indispensable element of modern working life.

Ongoing digitalization and increasing connectivity also require a modern working environment at myonic. Three years ago, the first open-plan office was adapted to meet the requirements of a hybrid and modern way of working as part of a pilot project. Now, another office area has been redesigned according to the New Work concept: the Finance/Controlling and Logistics departments.

As the Finance department in particular requires a high level of on-site presence as well as dedicated areas for confidential discussions and tasks, these requirements were incorporated into the planning from the very beginning.

The new office concept primarily introduces a different workplace structure: desk sharing. Fixed workstations are now a thing of the past. Instead, employees use flexible workstations that can be reserved according to their needs.

The New Work Office II consists of various work areas. The largest portion is made up of standard workstations equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Features include height-adjustable desks, dual monitors, and standardized docking stations. Workstations can be conveniently reserved using dedicated software.

Sideboards positioned between the desks provide visual structure to the office space while also serving as practical standing-height work surfaces. Large-scale plant-themed wall graphics and numerous real plants create a pleasant and inspiring working atmosphere while also contributing to an improved indoor climate.

For meetings or confidential discussions, two modern office cubes are available, accommodating two and four people respectively. The bright, air-conditioned office space now appears significantly more organized, open, and modern. Of course, a small coffee corner has also been included. Personal belongings can be stored securely in designated lockers.

The new office landscape not only promotes communication within teams but also encourages interdisciplinary and cross-departmental collaboration. At the same time, the modernization fulfills a long-standing wish expressed by many employees and represents an important step toward greater standardization and more agile ways of working. 

In line with our Green Transformation Strategy, the nearly paperless office also brings us significantly closer to achieving our sustainability goals.
