myonic Kids Day 2018

After the successful start last year, the myonic Kids Day returned for a second round. On the afternoon of Friday, December 14th, 2018, all employees’ children between the ages of 4 and 13 were invited to myonic.

This year, you only had to follow the delicious scent of cookies to find one of the two groups. In the cafeteria, the children were busy cutting out ball bearing-shaped cookies, decorating them — and of course, tasting them! We received professional support from master pastry chef Anton Kohler, who patiently guided the baking process. The kids had plenty of choices for how their “Bredle” (cookies) should look: light or dark dough, sugar glaze or chocolate coating, decorative pearls, glitter spray, or colored sugar… on the “decoration street,” they found everything their hearts desired.

The other group of the 44 young visitors could be found at one of the five stations around the company, where the company rally took place. Under the guidance of apprentices, the children participated in various activities such as stringing rings, playing games, or sorting ball bearing cages into molds. Points were awarded based on time, quantity, or skill, and at the end, the children could compare their results with one another. At each station, the kids also received a 3D-printed part, which when assembled at the end, formed a gyroscope for nimble hands. A special highlight of the rally was that it was entirely organized and run by our apprentices!

After halftime, the groups switched, and there was plenty of time for coloring, including decorating their “Kids Day aprons.”

In the early evening, “Santa Claus” awarded prizes for the best winter and Christmas designs, which would adorn this year’s myonic Christmas card, and wished everyone a “Merry Christmas.”
