myonic Kids Day 2019

The myonic Kids Day took place for the third time on Friday, November 29th, 2019. Nearly 50 employees’ children spent the afternoon with us under the theme “Christmas Magic.” After a brief welcome by Bernhard Böck and some information from Bernd Koslowski, the children were divided into groups and spent the next three hours rotating through various stations.

At the first station in the training workshop, the kids used modeling clay to cut out rings, which they then decorated with ball bearings and glitter dust. After being hardened in the oven, they were complete! Additionally, the apprentices created amazing ornaments using a 3D printer, which the children could assemble, drill, laser, and paint.

At the next station, the children crafted Christmas tree decorations: glitter stars on baubles and paper ornaments with beads. This activity took place in the Sylt/Mauritius meeting room, where the children could also decorate the glass walls with chalk markers!

The final station was set up in the cafeteria, where, after all the creative activities, the children enjoyed some movement games. During the “X-mas Games,” two teams competed in Santa sack races, snowball blowing, and balancing Christmas baubles. Some of the beautifully crafted decorations were hung on our Christmas tree, and the children were allowed to take the rest home.

At the end of the day, the winners of the Christmas card drawing contest were awarded, and amidst much excitement, the children were sent off with fond farewells.

Both the children and the supervisors, along with the apprentices, had a fantastic time once again!
